UPVC Recycling collects basic contact information — name, company, phone, email, site postcode, the type of material you want collected and any notes you add — when you submit our enquiry form or contact us directly. We use that information solely to respond to your enquiry, schedule collections, and provide our recycling services. We do not collect special-category personal data and we do not use cookies for tracking or advertising at the time of writing.
For trade enquiries, we rely on legitimate interest under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) — providing the service you've asked for. For any post-enquiry marketing communications (none currently sent), we'd rely on your separate consent.
Our website's enquiry form is delivered via Formspree, Inc. — a US-based form-handling service that receives the submission and forwards it to our inbox. Your submission is stored on Formspree's servers in the United States. International transfer of personal data is safeguarded under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum (IDTA) and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which Formspree operates under as a data processor. You can read Formspree's privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Active enquiries: kept for the duration of the service relationship plus a reasonable follow-up period (typically 12 months). Collection records and electronic Waste Transfer Notes (eWTNs) are retained for the periods set out under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 — minimum two years for non-hazardous waste, three years for hazardous waste. After that we delete or anonymise enquiry data unless retention is needed for legitimate accounting or legal purposes.
We don't sell your data. We don't pass it to third parties for marketing. We don't share enquiry contents with anyone outside our processor (Formspree) and our internal team that schedules and runs collections.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request a copy of any data we hold about you, to request its correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, to object to processing on legitimate-interest grounds, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, email us using the contact details below — we'll acknowledge within 48 hours and respond fully within one calendar month.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our registration details are filed with our company records and available on request.
