uPVC window recycling for housing associations and councils
We collect the old uPVC windows and doors from window replacement programmes and planned maintenance. We work with the housing association, the council or their installation contractor, whichever suits the programme. Collection is free, the glass comes out on site, and every load comes with an electronic waste transfer note.

How we work with housing associations
We plan collections around your programme and your contractors, across as many social housing sites as the programme covers.
Several sites, one contract
We work across several sites under one contract, with collections booked around your programme.
Collection from the homes
If the properties are on our routes, we collect the old frames from each home, so your fitters don't have to bring them back.
Free collection
Collecting the old windows and doors from replacement programmes and planned maintenance is free.
Five hubs
Hubs in Chester, Wigan, Haslingden, Stoke-on-Trent and Rotherham. Same or next day across the North West, Liverpool, North Wales, the Midlands and Yorkshire, and same week elsewhere.
Skip options
We supply our own containers, so there is no skip-hire company in the middle. The uPVC, the glass and the general site waste each go in their own.
Glass from the windows
The glass comes out of the frames on site before collection, by your contractor or by us. It goes in a 16 yard skip, or a roll-on roll-off where needed, and through our glass recycling service.
Float glass and sealed units are kept in separate containers, which keeps the glass clean enough to recycle.

Everything you need for your duty of care and your environmental returns.
- An electronic waste transfer note (eWTN) for every collection, emailed within 24 hours

What happens to the windows
The glass comes out on site. At the plant the frames are shredded, magnets take out the steel and hardware, and the uPVC is granulated and micronised for the core of new window profile.
The animation on our homepage follows each step, and our guide to what happens to old uPVC windows has the detail.
